Dr libby, prereq dermatologist and strategic advisor
STRATEGIC ADVISOR & DERMATOLOGIST

Derm Approved, Mom Approved.

Dr. Libby is a board certified dermatologist and Prereq's strategic advisor. Hear what she has to say:

"What stood out to me immediately was how intentionally Prereq Care approached formulation for young skin. The products are built around supporting the skin barrier first, with carefully selected ingredients that each serve a clear purpose. By keeping formulas gentle, effective, and microbiome-supporting, I can feel confident recommending them for teens and pre-teens."

What makes teen skin different? According to Dr. Libby, "Teen skin has a different microbiome, different oil balance, and higher sensitivity. Harsh actives and multi-step routines aren’t necessary—and they can actually disrupt the skin barrier."

"Safety is our first prerequisite. Our formulas are free from aluminum, parabens, alcohol, baking soda, and synthetic fragrances. The Deo Multi-Mist is even approved by the National Eczema Association, using sugarcane fermentation to neutralize odor and glycolipids to support the barrier, rather than masking it with irritants."

"Acne-prone skin needs more than just hydration; it needs protection. The Giving Me Life Hydro-Mist uses cactus extract to calm redness and Ectoin to shield against environmental aggressors. This includes pollution, UV, and even blue light from screen time—ensuring your teen's skin is protected during school, sports, and everything in between."

"These two products are really all kids need for easy self-care. Use the Reset Mode and Giving Me Life mists together to refresh after sweat, reduce redness, and support the microbiome. It’s a simple, effective routine that is both dermatologist-approved and mom-approved."
